The Barnes & Jones 4260 is a cage unit designed for Warren Webster 780 traps. This unit replaces the existing thermostat and seat. It features a heavy-duty thermostatic element within a protective stainless steel cage. This assembly is calibrated for reliable operation. The cage unit is secured by a protrusion that fits into the trap orifice, while a high-tension spring ensures stability.

When steam is detected, the thermostatic element expands to close the ball plunger against the internal seat. This containment continues until the steam transforms into a liquid. As the temperature drops, the element contracts, lifting the plunger and allowing the condensate to drain.
